Value for your money

value tags The price that you pay for a batch includes supervision and instructions, ingredients, taxes, corks, cappers and labels. Each standard batch yields approximately 22.5 litres of wine, or 30 750 ml glass bottles.

We offer two types of kits

  • grape concentrates, with and without skins
  • grape juice

and we also offer barrel aging

For all red wines, a 1.5 litre crushed grape pack (skin and seeds) may be added for $15.

You can supply your own bottles or buy them from us. After bottling, wine will improve if it's allowed to age after bottling for a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks.

After you have purchased 5 batches at regular price, you qualify for a $50 discount on your next purchase.

We produce wedding wines with special personalized labels. Special prices may apply. Ask your friendly McWines staff. As always, the customer and his/her friends come in at bottling time to do their part of the production. Bring your wedding party and make it a fun time!

Barrel Aging

Aging is the maturing process that occurs when wine oxidizes through contact with air. Wine aged in oak barrels takes on some of the compounds in the barrel, such as vanillin and wood tannins. The presence of these compounds is dependent on many factors, including the place of origin, how the staves were cut and dried, and degree of "toast" applied during manufacture.

Barrel aging costs $30 and includes 1 month in a carboy, 3 months approximately in a barrel, for approximately 4 months total aging time. We also include a premium cork, given the extra aging time. More Information...
